We're working with a leading digital consultancy delivering critical services into a major UK public sector organisation and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an innovative AI-focused team.
This role is well suited to an engineer with a strong background in Back End systems, data platforms and cloud infrastructure, who can also bring expertise in automated testing and quality assurance. You'll play a key role in helping mature and productionise AI-enabled services used at scale.
What you'll be doing
- Building and improving Back End data and platform infrastructure
- Supporting the delivery of AI-powered digital services
- Implementing automated testing and QA best practices
- Improving reliability, performance and scalability across systems
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment
- Helping ensure services are secure, robust and production-ready
What we're looking for
- Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Backend Engineer
- Experience working with cloud-native platforms and modern engineering practices
- Proven track record implementing automated testing and quality assurance processes
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and software engineering best practice
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Previous UK Public Sector experience
- BPSS cleared
- UK-based
- Available to start at short notice
