Summary: A well-established Microsoft partner and consultancy is seeking Senior Technical & Functional Consultants for a 3-month contract to support customers in their digital transformation journey. The role primarily involves remote work with occasional client travel. The position requires expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, focusing on both functional and technical aspects. Candidates will lead stakeholder engagement, solution design, and development while mentoring other consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead stakeholder engagement to elicit requirements, analyse business processes, and develop solution roadmaps aligned to organisational strategy
- Provide functional leadership across the design, architecture, and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable, and pragmatic solution designs
- Facilitate workshops, solution demonstrations, and user acceptance testing to drive successful adoption
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams from initiation through to implementation, ensuring effective communication and governance
- Mentor consultants and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery standards and methodologies
- Ensure solutions fully leverage the broader Microsoft ecosystem to maximise business value
- Lead the design and development of technical solutions using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to meet customer requirements
- Develop custom components such as plugins, workflows, and JavaScript/UI extensions as needed
- Ensure adherence to best practices, prioritising standard product capabilities and advising when customisation or extension is necessary
- Collaborate with Functional Consultants to translate functional requirements into technical specifications for build
- Lead integration design and development across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Dataverse and Azure services
- Provide technical governance through code reviews and quality assurance of development deliverables
- Support deployment processes, ALM, and DevOps practices to ensure smooth production releases
- Serve as a technical escalation point, proactively resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards, patterns, tools, and automation practices
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing delivery roles within a Microsoft Partner organisation
- 3-5 years hands-on experience delivering Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions (including Dataverse and Azure integrations)
- Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 modules such as Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing
- Strong stakeholder engagement background including requirements definition, high-level solution design and functional architecture
- Ability to assess requirements vs. standard product capabilities and recommend optimal configuration/extension approaches.
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing delivery roles within a Microsoft Partner organisation preferred
- Proven hands-on experience developing Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions including model-driven and canvas apps, Dataverse, and integrations
- Strong knowledge of the broader Microsoft stack including Azure services such as Azure Data Factory
- Experience engaging directly with stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a customer-facing delivery environment
- Ability to assess requirements against standard platform capabilities and design sustainable extensibility.
