Summary: The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for shaping, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise security framework, ensuring the functionality of security tools and systems. This role involves overseeing security measures, monitoring devices, and enhancing security strategies while providing documented proof of improvements. Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:
- Diverse IT background with substantial experience in BAU support and project-based environments.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Skilled in network troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Experience with Security Monitoring and Vulnerability Management tools (Qualys).
- Familiarity with intrusion techniques at the perimeter and host level.
- Capability to devise practical product solutions aligned with Security Operations goals.
- Experience with Proxy and DLP systems, SIEM Tools, Vulnerability Management systems, Network security tools, EDR Solutions, M365, Email Gateways, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, and AAD is advantageous.
- Scripting abilities.

The successful candidate is tasked with shaping, implementing, and upholding the enterprise security framework and its related measures. The role involves ensuring the functionality of the tools and systems utilised. As a member of the Security Engineering team, responsibilities include the upkeep of security measures and protocols, overseeing the performance of monitoring and reporting devices, and enhancing security strategies, guidelines, and rule sets. Additionally, the role requires the provision of documented proof of enhancements made.
The ideal candidate should possess a diverse IT background, with substantial experience in both BAU support and project-based environments, across disciplines such as End-User Computing, Hosting, and Networks.
Proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) is highly beneficial.
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy is essential.
Must be skilled in network troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Should have experience with Security Monitoring and Vulnerability Management tools (Qualys).
Familiarity with intrusion techniques at the perimeter and host level is required.
Demonstrated capability to devise practical product solutions in line with the strategic goals of the Security Operations team.
