Summary: The Senior Cyber Project Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the security culture within the organization by fostering relationships and advocating for Secure by Design principles. This position involves conducting design reviews, risk assessments, and providing expert guidance on security policies and standards. The specialist will also mentor junior team members and ensure that security measures are integrated into change solutions. This is a fully remote contract role lasting until December 15, 2025, and falls inside IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong connections and advocate for Secure by Design principles.
- Perform design reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments.
- Offer expert advice on policy, standards, and industry regulations.
- Ensure security requirements are integrated into change solutions.
- Identify and evaluate security risks and recommend improvements.
- Set clear objectives for security tests to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Address risks or findings from security scans before production changes.
- Assist the team lead and mentor junior team members.
Key Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks.
- Understanding of various Information Security domains.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret industry trends and regulations.
- Experience in scoping penetration tests and conducting risk assessments.
- Skilled in influencing and communicating with senior management.
- Well-versed in Cloud Service models and their security contexts.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
