Summary: We are looking for a Senior Consultant with expertise in Red Hat OpenStack Platform to provide architectural guidance and strategic consulting for enterprise cloud infrastructure. This fully remote position requires extensive experience in cloud-native technologies and a focus on customer delivery. The consultant will be responsible for deploying and optimizing OpenStack-based private clouds and advising clients on best practices. The role also involves leading technical workshops and supporting pre-sales engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and optimize Red Hat OpenStack-based private clouds tailored to client environments.
- Advise clients on best practices for cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, and automation within OSP.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate OSP with Red Hat OpenShift, Ceph, and Ansible Automation.
- Lead technical workshops, customer onboarding, and mentoring sessions for internal and external teams.
- Maintain expert-level proficiency in OpenStack architecture, upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.
- Support pre-sales engagements by contributing to scope development, technical proposals, and client presentations.
Key Skills:
- 8-10 years of experience in enterprise IT, with a minimum of 7 years in cloud platforms and 5+ years in Red Hat OpenStack.
- Mastery of Linux systems administration (preferably RHEL), virtualization (KVM), SDN, storage, and identity management.
- Strong experience with Ansible, Heat templates, and OpenStack APIs.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenStack Administration (EX210) or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing consulting skills.
- Familiarity with OSP Director, TripleO, and composable roles.
- Experience integrating OpenStack with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic).
- Prior experience in regulated industries (finance, telco, defense) is a plus.
