Summary: The Senior Civil Engineer role involves leading civil design packages for major Clean Water and Wastewater frameworks within a leading engineering consultancy. This fully remote contract position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver construction-ready solutions on high-profile water projects. The ideal candidate will have strong design experience in UK water projects and will mentor junior engineers while contributing to project delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading civil design activities and coordinating project deliverables
- Producing high-quality calculations, reports and construction documentation
- Collaborating with clients, stakeholders and other disciplines
- Championing innovation, quality and best practice
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
- Contributing to programme, commercial and project delivery objectives
Key Skills:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (ICE, CIWEM, IWO or equivalent)
- Strong design experience within UK water projects
- Good understanding of UK water clients, contractors and industry standards
- Experience with BIM-led design and digital tools such as Revit and Civil 3D
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills

Advance TRS are partnering with a leading engineering consultancy renowned for delivering some of the UK's most technically challenging AMP8 programmes and water projects. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support major Clean Water and Wastewater frameworks across both infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes.
£50–£60 per hour

The Role
You'll take the lead on civil design packages, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and supply chain partners to deliver construction-ready solutions on high-profile water projects.
