Summary: The Senior Buyer for Toys will lead a small team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, focusing on trading, compliance, and new product development for a leading Toy company. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead New Product Development: Full ownership from concept to commercialisation, tracking trends and maximising opportunities.
- Supplier Management: Manage Far East supplier relationships, identify new suppliers, and negotiate for margin targets.
- Team Leadership: Oversee a small buying team, ensuring products meet compliance and safety standards.
- Commercial & Analytical: Manage product portfolios, analyse sales data, and conduct market analysis to drive performance.
- Sales & Marketing Support: Present new ranges, integrate customer feedback, and manage trade fair presence.
Key Skills:
- Must have experience in a Toy Buying role, either for a retailer, wholesaler or a manufacturer.
- A team player with leadership capability.
- Creative, trend-led, and passionate about products.
- Commercially astute and highly organised.
