Summary: We are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to enhance enterprise-scale cloud and DevOps platforms in the insurance sector. The role demands extensive technical expertise in Azure DevOps, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code, and Azure cloud services, along with significant hands-on engineering experience. This position is remote and offers a contract engagement lasting over six months. The ideal candidate will have over ten years of experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize Azure DevOps processes, including process templates, work item rules, and synchronized state transitions across teams and projects
- Design, build, and maintain advanced multi-stage YAML pipelines using reusable templates and build once, deploy many patterns
- Establish and manage secure service connections using Managed Identities and Service Principals
- Create advanced reporting solutions, including custom ADO queries and Power BI integrations for performance and operational insights
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, ensuring fully automated Azure deployments
- Implement Azure networking and security solutions, including VNet peering, Private Endpoints, and Azure Key Vault integration
- Deploy and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Registry (ACR), including Helm chart management and container lifecycle automation
- Create production-grade automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Python for system administration and API integrations
- Extensive experience with the Azure DevOps suite (Pipelines, Boards, Repos, Artifacts)
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Compute, Storage, and Networking services
- Strong expertise in Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including RBAC and permissions management
- Advanced Git knowledge, including complex branching strategies and large-scale merge conflict resolution
- Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (Insurance / Financial Services preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
