Summary: Our client is looking for a Senior Azure Consultant for a remote role in the UK, focusing on developing and implementing cloud-based solutions. The position is a contract role lasting 3-6 months and is classified as outside IR35. The consultant will be responsible for leading migration initiatives and ensuring security compliance in cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cloud based solutions including storage, security configurations and network architecture
- Lead the planning and execution of migration initiatives; transition on-prem to cloud
- Ensure all cloud solutions meet security standards
- Design and manage automated infrastructure provisioning and deployments
- Work closely with stakeholders and 3rd party partners
Key Skills:
- Experience designing, deploying and managing large scale cloud environments across Azure
- Some AWS experience
- Understanding of core cloud services including networking, databases, compute, storage, application hosting and serverless functions
- Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates
- DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or cloud native DevOps tools
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement
- Ability to monitor and optimise cloud resource usage and costs using Cost Management dashboards or cloud native advisors
