Summary: A boutique software consulting firm is seeking a Senior Azure Architect to support a large-scale public sector engagement by building scalable and secure Azure infrastructure. The role involves driving the design and implementation of Azure environments while collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders. This position is fully remote and requires a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, validation, and buildout of Azure environments based on existing architecture.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and stakeholders to interpret designs and guide implementation.
  • Ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and production-ready Azure infrastructure.
  • Fill in gaps in existing designs and provide structure and direction in cloud environments.

Key Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience designing and implementing Azure environments (landing zones, networking, governance, etc.).
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, hub-and-spoke architectures).
  • Experience with identity and access management (Entra ID, RBAC, conditional access).
  • Experience working with containerized environments (AKS, Docker).
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and translate it into working infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience guiding technical teams.

A boutique software consulting firm focused on modern .NET and Azure-based solutions has recently secured a large-scale public sector engagement and is expanding their team. This effort is centered around standing up and supporting a new cloud environment for a state-level system, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and production-ready Azure infrastructure.

They are currently seeking a Senior Azure Architect to join the team in a highly impactful, fast-paced environment. This individual will play a key role in driving the design, validation, and buildout of an Azure environment based on an existing architecture, helping accelerate delivery timelines and ensure a strong, stable foundation moving forward.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly hands-on, comfortable stepping into environments that require structure and direction, and capable of leading both technically and strategically. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and stakeholders to interpret existing designs, fill in gaps, and guide the implementation of core Azure infrastructure components.

This position is fully remote.
