Summary: The role is for a Senior AWS Cloud & Linux Engineer focused on AWS architecture, Linux administration, and DevOps practices. The candidate will manage L3 cloud operations, optimize infrastructure, and implement automation while ensuring cloud security compliance. Strong problem-solving skills and experience with cloud cost management and containerization technologies are essential. The position is fully remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure with focus on architecture, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Provide L3-level cloud operations support including troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Implement automation scripts using Shell scripting, Python, or other automation tools.
- Work on AWS FinOps cost analysis, budgeting, and optimization strategies.
- Deploy and manage workloads on AWS EKS (Kubernetes) and Docker containers.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Create and manage AWS CloudFormation / IaC templates for repeatable and reliable deployments.
- Implement and manage AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for automation, patching, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure cloud security compliance with strong experience in AWS IAM, security best practices, and access control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver SAP BASIS support on AWS environments (preferred).
- Monitor and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, OEL, Ubuntu) with performance tuning and patch management.
- Work with GitHub for source code management, branching, and DevOps integrations.
