Senior AWS DevOps Engineer | Outside IR35 | Remote

The Role

You will help design, deploy and operate secure cloud-native infrastructure across multiple cloud providers. The environment includes Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps tooling, service mesh technologies, cloud networking and event-driven microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage infrastructure across AWS, Azure and GCP using Terraform.
• Build and operate Kubernetes platforms across EKS, AKS and GKE.
• Design and implement CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using GitHub Actions and Flux.
• Configure cloud networking, API gateways, identity and security controls.
• Implement operational monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
• Automate platform processes and support event-driven microservice architectures.

Essential

• Strong commercial experience across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience operating EKS, AKS and GKE Kubernetes environments.
• Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Flux and Kustomize.
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Strong cloud networking knowledge, including VPCs, VNets, routing, DNS and load balancing.
• Experience configuring AWS API Gateway securely.
• Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Scripting experience using Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Strong Git, GitHub or GitLab experience.

Desirable

• Experience monitoring JavaScript applications built with Angular or React.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC and SAML.
• Cloud migration and modernisation experience.
• Experience developing reusable multi-cloud platform capabilities.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, identity, security and observability.
