Summary: The Senior AWS Cloud Security Engineer will play a crucial role in a financial services client's project, focusing on the strategic input and mitigation of security risks associated with a Data centre migration to AWS. This position requires extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering and a strong understanding of security principles and technologies. The role is fully remote and is offered as a 6-month initial contract. The position is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the strategic input and mitigation of security risks for a Data centre migration to AWS.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity measures within enterprise-level infrastructure environments.
- Utilize security tools and technologies to protect network, application, and data security.
- Collaborate with teams to diagnose and resolve complex security challenges.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding security practices and risks.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering.
- Proven track record in enterprise-level infrastructure environments.
- In-depth knowledge of security principles, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Skilled in scripting and programming languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- Solid background in network, application, and data security.
- Practical experience with security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
