Summary: The Senior Application Developer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a CMS across various environments, troubleshooting issues, and implementing feature enhancements. The role requires extensive experience in application development, particularly in CA Plex and SQL Server, while collaborating with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The position is primarily remote, with a potential location in South Carolina. The candidate should possess strong debugging and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of judicial systems or government environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support the CMS across environments, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide escalation/on-call support.
  • Design and implement feature enhancements by updating business rules, workflows, screens, batch processes, and reports in alignment with judicial and statutory requirements.
  • Develop within the model by updating objects, functions, and relationships, ensuring integrity of the model-driven architecture and deployment processes.
  • Manage database operations by writing and optimizing SQL Server (T-SQL) queries, stored procedures, data fixes, and performance tuning for large datasets.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by handling data corrections, resolving anomalies, and maintaining consistency across integrated systems.
  • Support system integrations with law enforcement, transportation, eCitation, Public Index, and eFiling platforms, including transition from legacy I/O to APIs.
  • Provide reporting and data support through query development, data extracts, and collaboration with data warehouse/analytics teams.
  • Collaborate with court administration, IT leadership, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical CMS solutions.
  • Maintain documentation of system changes, business rules, and processes, while supporting knowledge transfer and contributing to modernization initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience with application development.
  • 7+ years of experience CA Plex or similar 4GL/model-driven environments.
  • 7+ years of experience SQL Server / T-SQL.
