Senior Apigee Consultant

Summary: We are seeking a Senior Apigee Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and management of API solutions using Google Apigee. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in API proxy development and Apigee platform operations, including migration and backup processes. This role demands a strong understanding of API lifecycle management and hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X. The consultant will collaborate with various teams to ensure API governance and compliance while troubleshooting performance and security issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of application-level responsibilities including API proxy validation and policy checks.
• Design, develop, and manage API proxies using Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
• Lead and execute Apigee platform migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Implement and manage backup and restore strategies for Apigee configurations and proxies.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure API governance and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance, security, and integration.
• Document API specifications, policies, and operational procedures.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as an Apigee Consultant or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
• Expertise in API proxy development, policy enforcement, and OAuth2, JWT, traffic management, etc.
• Experience with Apigee migration, including planning, execution, and validation.
• Proficiency in backup and restore processes for Apigee configurations.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and API security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
