Summary: The Senior Android Developer role involves working on a contract basis for a global business, focusing on Android application development with a strong emphasis on EMV kernel experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Running and supporting the businesses applications on the Android platform
- Providing high level feature enhancements in a timely manner
- Designing and implementing new software features
- Owning the code and ensuring its stability, performance, readability, and maintainability for new staff joining the team
- Building/creating new high-quality features and products
- Working with business stakeholders to maintain a high-quality product
- Collaborating with other areas of the tech teams to support the creation and/or release of new features/designs including the QA and Back end teams
Key Skills:
- Extensive Android Development experience
- EMV kernel experience, in terms of working with terminals
- Strong Kotlin programming
- Understanding of SOLID Design practices
- Android SDK
- Ability to work individually and proactively

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Senior Android Developer on initially a 6 month contract basis for a global business based in the UK with offices across Europe and the Far East.
All candidates must have hands on experience of working within EMV kernel
Location: Home Based
Day Rate: Up to £450 per day D.O.E
Skills/Requirements for the Senior Android Developer:
- Extensive Android Development experience
- EMV kernel experience, in terms of working with terminals
- Strong Kotlin programming
- Understanding of SOLID Design practices
- Android SDK
- Ability to work individually and proactively
Start date is ASAP for the Senior Android Developer
The Senior Android Developer will be responsible for:
