We're hiring a Senior Account Manager to own client strategy across 3-4 of our biggest TikTok Shop accounts at Z Media. This role doesn't sit on the sidelines of social commerce. It runs it. Quick heads-up before you read on. This won't read like most agency job ads. We're being upfront about what this role actually is, what we offer, and what we expect. About Z Media

We've driven $100M+ GMV through TikTok Shop for some of the biggest beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands in the UK. We've been a TikTok partner since the platform's early days. Z Media is the agency arm of a wider ecosystem we're building around TikTok Shop. Product plays, infrastructure plays, and adjacent businesses sitting alongside the agency. The agency is the cash flow engine. The bigger play is what comes next.

Who you'll work with

You'll report directly to our strategy lead and founder. No layers. You'll be close enough to the decisions to shape them, not just execute them.

The seat

Own 3-4 client accounts end-to-end. Strategy, delivery, relationship. Manage 2 direct reports + freelancers. Run client calls, set agendas, drive outcomes. You own the relationship. Spot upsell opportunities and shape the commercial conversation with founder-clients.

What you'll actually be doing

The mix flexes week to week, but in any given period you'll be:

  • On strategy and growth
  • Owning client strategy across your portfolio, with affiliates at the centre
  • Building affiliate communities that compound over time
  • Designing competition strategies that drive content volume and GMV
  • Shaping messaging strategy and outreach approach across creators

On client work

  • Managing client relationships end-to-end
  • Running client calls, setting agendas, driving outcomes
  • Being proactive with clients, bringing recommendations before they ask
  • Handling commercial conversations and spotting upsell opportunities

On execution and operations

  • Negotiating with creator and CAP agencies
  • Handling creator escalations when they need senior attention
  • A/B testing content, messaging, offers, and creator strategies

Two non-negotiables

  • 3+ years running TikTok Shop, creator commerce, affiliate, or social commerce at agency or in-house. You've personally moved a GMV or affiliate retention number, not just managed someone who did.
  • You can make decisions on your own. If you need approval on every message, sign-off on every recommendation, or hand-holding through every client situation, you'll fail in this seat. We back our people 100%, but we expect you to back yourself first.

Strong signals

  • You've owned a client P&L personally
  • You've negotiated with CAP agencies, run creator competitions, managed affiliate programs at scale
  • You've worked in a small team and miss the speed
  • You've thought "I could run this account better than my AD"
  • You've thought about starting your own thing but want the upside without the founder risk

Compensation and structure

Competitive base salary depending on experience Performance bonus tied to client retention and GMV growth. We pay generously when clients re-sign because you've delivered. That bonus is uncapped and we mean it. Equity-style upside for the right person as adjacent businesses scale (co-founder track on spin-outs is a real path, not a hypothetical) First refusal on roles as adjacent businesses scale Work from anywhere. UK-based preferred, but if you want to work from Barcelona, Bali, or Buenos Aires for a stretch, we don't care. Do the work, deliver the results, the rest is yours. Full-time hours with occasional team meetups

Structure

Everyone at Z Media joins as a contractor first. That's how we work. It gives both sides a clean way to start. You invoice us monthly, we pay you monthly. For the right person, there's a path to a permanent arrangement. We'll talk about it on the call.
