Summary: The role of Security Engineer involves supporting a key security operations program focused on Google SecOps. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing use case analysis, tuning, and false-positive reduction.
  • Lead onboarding of data sources into Google SecOps following a structured onboarding methodology.
  • Provide input for use case development and help agree priorities for the use case development pipeline and backlog.
  • Create dashboards and reports to support visibility and decision-making.
  • Administer BindPlane Agents and the associated service.
  • Maintain account access to Google SecOps for supplier personnel.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience working as a Security Engineer within SOC or SecOps environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Google SecOps (or similar SIEM/SOAR technologies).
  • Proven ability to analyse and tune security use cases to improve detection quality.
  • Experience onboarding complex data sources into security platforms.
  • Familiarity with BindPlane Agents or equivalent data ingestion tooling.
  • Ability to create dashboards, reports, and operational insights within security platforms.

We're looking for an experienced Security Engineer to support a key security operations programme focused on Google SecOps. This is an excellent opportunity for a Security Engineer who thrives in data-driven environments and enjoys enhancing security use cases, tuning alerts, and improving dashboards and reporting.

Your responsibilities as the Security Engineer:

- Perform ongoing use case analysis, tuning, and false-positive reduction.

- Lead onboarding of data sources into Google SecOps following a structured onboarding methodology.
