Security Consultant

Summary: The Security Consultant role involves reviewing, refining, and implementing Microsoft 365 Information Protection capabilities to enhance data protection. The consultant will assess current designs, recommend improvements, and support the rollout of updated configurations. This position is remote and requires immediate availability for a short-term contract starting on May 22, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assess the current Information Protection design, including manual and automatic labelling, Sensitive Information Types, and DLP policies
• Recommend and implement improvements in line with business requirements and best practice
• Update and align existing configurations with the newly agreed design
• Carry out detailed testing and validation within the production environment (targeted user group)
• Provide advice and support for the wider roll-out of the updated configuration

Key Skills:

• In-depth experience with Microsoft Purview / Microsoft Information Protection
• Strong understanding of DLP, sensitivity labelling, and compliance settings in Microsoft 365
• Hands-on experience with testing and validation in a live environment
• Proven ability to deliver results within a defined, short-term engagement
• Must be available to start promptly and work independently on a remote basis
