Looking for an experienced Security Compliance Specialist to join the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) function of a fast-paced, technology-led organisation.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in information security governance, policy development and compliance who enjoys working collaboratively across multiple business functions to improve security maturity.
You'll play a key role in developing and implementing information security policies, supporting audit readiness and driving compliance initiatives across the business.
This is a 6month contract role paying £400-450 a day inside IR35, starting from the end of August.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review and maintain information security policies, standards and guidance.
- Drive the implementation of security policies across multiple business functions.
- Support ongoing compliance activities and audit readiness programmes.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including evidence collection and stakeholder coordination.
- Monitor compliance against recognised security frameworks and identify areas for improvement.
- Produce security compliance reports, metrics and management updates.
- Deliver and support security awareness and policy training across the organisation.
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to strengthen the organisation's security posture.
Ideal experience and skills:
- At least 3 years' experience in Information Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance or a similar function.
- Proven experience developing and implementing security policies and standards.
- Experience supporting security audits and compliance programmes.
- Good knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS or NIST.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Around 5 years' experience within Information Security or GRC.
- Experience working within a fast-paced technology environment.
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions or organisational change programmes.
- Experience delivering security awareness initiatives.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CRISC.
