Security Architect

Summary: The Security Solution Architect role is a 3-month contract position focused on delivering security solutions that enhance organizational maturity and reduce risk. The position requires active SC clearance and involves collaboration with stakeholders, technical teams, and business units to implement effective cybersecurity measures. The architect will lead solution assessments and design initiatives aligned with enterprise architecture. This role is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with stakeholders to deliver solutions that enhance maturity and reduce risk, aligned with Programme objectives.
• Engage with business units to understand and balance conflicting priorities and constraints.
• Collaborate with technical and service teams to implement security solutions that support cybersecurity operations.
• Lead solution option assessments, guided by Enterprise Architecture, to define maintainable solutions that meet business needs.
• Design key solutions for re-architecture initiatives (eg transition to data-centric architecture in the Cyber Defence workstream).
• Assist with procurement of security solutions.
• Work with Enterprise Architecture and Cyber SMEs to ensure alignment with the wider organisation.
• Provide support for tactical initiatives as needed.

Key Skills:

• Proactive approach and ability to lead and shape complex deliveries in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
• Proven experience as a Security Solutions Architect.
• Strong architectural and design skills, with the ability to develop scalable and secure solutions that operate as services.
• Experience with at least one Enterprise Architecture framework (Zachman, Togaf SABSA or similar).
• Experience of supporting procurement exercises and implementations.
