Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accurate and thorough test cases, scripts, and data with pre-determined results within specified scheduled dates.
  • Perform test execution of all assigned test cases.
  • Research and provide technical support on operational/test system defects and propose solutions.
  • Analyze test results to ensure functionality meets requirements and recommend corrective action if necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
  • Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of systems, application interfaces, and application software.
  • Guide and mentor a team of testers in support of projects and day-to-day testing efforts.
  • Support and work with associates, contractors, and third-party resources.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 5 years of experience in software development and/or testing
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
  • AWS S3, Redshift, Jenkins CI/CD alongside test automation skills using selenium Java/Python.
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of software test requirements and protocols.
  • Advanced programming skills on a programming language.
  • Working experience with databases.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of wireless communications and network systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Overview

  • Our client is seeking a SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) for Bigdata ETL testing. This role is responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, and automated scripts to ensure software and technical products meet quality standards. The SDET will also identify and solve for test data needs, identify software problems and their root causes, and prepare system modifications for implementation.
  • This position involves documenting defects, reporting them to engineers and product owners, and participating in software design reviews. The SDET will lead the team in supporting overall quality for various software systems and applications, develop a strong understanding of business processes, and mentor junior staff.
