Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SET) to build and own the test automation frameworks, harnesses, and CI-integrated quality infrastructure for enterprise-grade, healthcare-focused platforms that operate as mission-critical, high-availability systems at scale.

This is a quality engineering role, not a manual-testing role. You will work side by side with Software Engineers in a shift-left model building the automation, tooling, and standards the team tests against, rather than acting as a downstream gate. You will help raise the quality bar across the delivery organization and make automated testing an integral part of how software is built and shipped.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation / software engineering in test (SDET/SET).
  • Strong hands-on experience building automated test frameworks (UI, API, integration, end-to-end).
  • Proficiency in at least one automation framework such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, plus an API testing tool (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
  • Solid programming ability in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or C# (.NET) you write real code, not just scripts.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Experience testing applications on Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Azure SQL) for data validation.
  • Demonstrated practice of shift-left quality building for testability and embedding automation as part of delivery, not as a separate downstream phase.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and handling of protected health information (PHI) in test and production environments.
