Scrum Master with Banking, Finance and Regulatory experience - Remote - Banking - Direct Client - W2 Only

Summary: The Scrum Master will collaborate with business leaders to define project backlogs and priorities while managing project scope and deliverables to meet diverse stakeholder goals. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, participating in planning activities, and ensuring effective tracking and reporting of project activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and foster a culture of open feedback and continuous improvement. Experience in Agile methodologies and technology implementations is essential, particularly within the banking and finance sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Works with business leader to define backlog, sprint priority; manages project scope, scope changes, objectives, requirements, deliverables, and value proposition that support the diverse business goals and interests of multiple stakeholders
• Lead cross functional team members towards common outcomes and execution
• Participate in PI planning, capacity planning and team sizing to meet stakeholder objectives
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze & solve complex problems; takes initiative to facilitate planning and execute as assigned; Ensures the tracking and reporting of daily activities; meets project budget, schedule, scope & risk targets.
• Foster and encourage open & honest feedback; and learn from feedback (setbacks, mistakes) to drive improvement.
• Identify and assess risks & issues and proactively mitigate and resolve issues
• Performs impact analysis and prioritization

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Scrum Master Certification
• 3+ years of Scrum Master delivery experience
• Experience leading multiple Agile teams
• Demonstrate solid leadership competencies; organized, servant leader and facilitator
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze & solve complex problems
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Facilitates and encourages open & honest discussions that build healthy team culture, trust and respect
• Passionate about learning and self-improvement
• Effectively communicates with others by tailoring approach based on context and emotions of others
• Experience with Technology Implementations
