Summary: The Scrum Master role requires a professional with at least 5 years of experience in the public sector, focusing on guiding and coaching scrum teams in agile practices. The candidate should have a background in software development and be adept at facilitating agile delivery and managing sprint backlogs. The position is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adopt a customer focus to understanding what the customer and user needs
- Guide and coach the scrum team on agile practices and principles
- Facilitate the agile delivery, ensuring scope and objectives are understood by the scrum team
- Coordinate the agile ceremonies including daily scrum, sprint planning, review, and retrospectives
- Manage the agreed sprint backlog
- Lead the cross-functional scrum team to influence and drive decisions, supporting the PO managing stakeholder expectations
- Ensure any blockers/impediments to the scrum team's progress are surfaced and resolved
- Attend the scrum of scrums and support the senior scrum master
- Collaborate with the programme leadership team communicating progress in the scrum of scrums as well as participating in Programme Increment Planning
- GDS experience is desirable
- Scrum certified
