About the role
We are seeking a strong, engaging and well-organised Science Teacher to deliver high-quality online lessons across KS3, IGCSE and A Level.
Candidates may specialise in one or more of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics.
Essential requirements
- UK-based teacher or holder of a UK-recognised teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching the Cambridge / British curriculum
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, Biology and/or Physics
- Experience teaching Science from KS3 to IGCSE
- A Level teaching experience in the relevant subject
- Confidence delivering engaging lessons online
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence using online teaching platforms and digital tools
- Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant Science subject
- UK-recognised teaching qualification, such as QTS or equivalent
- Experience planning and delivering well-structured lessons
- Experience preparing students for external examinations
- Ability to use technology effectively to support teaching and learning
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well-structured online Science lessons
- Teach Chemistry, Biology and/or Physics in line with the Cambridge / British curriculum
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet students’ individual learning needs
- Set and assess classwork and homework
- Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Support students preparing for IGCSE and A Level examinations
- Maintain high professional standards in communication, lesson delivery and organisation
- Keep up to date with curriculum developments and examination requirements
