Summary: The Scala Development Lead will be responsible for leading Scala development efforts for a public sector client on a 6-month contract basis. The role requires a strong background in Scala development, particularly within the public sector, and candidates must hold active SC clearance. The position is remote and offers an excellent day rate inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality Scala applications, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new features.
- Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Experience of architecting or implementing Microservices on AWS.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Scala development and a strong understanding of functional programming principles.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (eg, Git).
- It is optionally advantageous to have any experience of TOGAF, Java, Containers/Kubernetes, Cobol.
Salary (Rate): £550 daily
