SCADA Ignition Developer – 6 months+

Summary: The SCADA Ignition Developer role is a 6-month contract position primarily focused on developing and deploying HMI applications for control system projects within a large global Data Centre client. The position requires troubleshooting and support for critical control system issues, as well as collaboration with various engineering teams. The role is predominantly remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy new HMI applications for new control system projects, with minimal supervision
• Complete HMI application modifications in an online, critical environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve HMI, network and other critical control system issues during an incident
• Support Data Center commissioning activities, including validation of hardware and software systems, alarming, data recovery, and functional logic
• Support the network switch configuration in the BMS OT Network on projects in collaboration with the IT Project team
• Collaborate with members of the Design, Engineering, and Construction team during projects, as well as members of the Operations Engineering team, and Site Operations team for sustaining existing automation architecture
• Work with leading edge automation systems from large scale industrial controls vendors

Key Skills:

• Over 5 years experience as an Industrial automation systems commissioning engineer
• Experience developing & adapting SCADA systems components as well as performing full scale integration and testing
• Experience of Ignition (by Inductive Automation) is essential
• Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics or equivalent work experience required
