Summary: This role involves leading the modernization of the UK's power infrastructure by managing the migration of legacy SCADA systems into Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS). The position requires extensive technical expertise in SCADA protocols and involves deploying ICCP for data synchronization. The successful candidate will also provide consultancy and training to global utility clients while working in a remote-first environment with occasional travel. This is a long-term contract with opportunities for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end migration and integration of legacy SCADA systems into modern ADMS platforms.
- Manage the installation and configuration of Front-End Processors (FEP) and Enhanced FEPs (EFEPS).
- Deploy and commission ICCP for complex multi-centre data synchronization.
- Design and execute SCADA testing, validation, and performance optimization protocols.
- Provide expert consultancy and deliver high-impact workshops and technical training sessions for global utility clients.
Key Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with ADMS SCADA migration, integration, and simulation systems.
- Deep technical knowledge of SCADA protocols including IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus.
- Proven expertise in configuring FEP/EFEPS and managing complex control centre communications.
- Strong background in the Energy or Utilities sector, specifically with OMS and DMS.
