Summary: The SCADA/AspenTech Test Analyst role involves performing comprehensive testing activities for the AspenTech OSI ADMS platform, collaborating with various systems to ensure quality assurance. The position requires strong testing experience in utility operations and the ability to execute various types of tests while validating requirements and network model accuracy. The analyst will also support integrated systems testing and communicate findings effectively to project teams. This role is remote and focuses on ensuring the reliability and responsiveness of the ADMS platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform end to end testing activities for the AspenTech OSI ADMS platform in collaboration with Switching Order Management (SOM), Outage Management System (OMS), and Advanced Apps.
- Apply strong testing experience in utility operations and distribution system technologies to execute test cases, validate requirements, and support system quality assurance efforts.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance tests for ADMS applications including power flow, switching, FLISR, VVO/VVC, CVR, load modeling, and DER related workflows.
- Validate network model accuracy and ensure test scenarios reflect real world distribution topology, connectivity, and operational conditions.
- Support testing across integrated systems such as SCADA, GIS, OMS, SOM, AMI, and ICCP to ensure correct data flow and system interaction.
- Work with engineers, operators, and business analysts to understand operational use cases and translate them into detailed, executable test cases.
- Participate in defect logging, triage discussions, and root cause analysis activities, ensuring issues are clearly documented and reproducible.
- Assist in large scale performance and operational scenario testing, including simulations of real dispatcher environments, to ensure reliability and responsiveness of the ADMS platform under realistic conditions.
- Communicate test progress, findings, and risks to project teams with clarity and professionalism, supporting successful releases and program milestones.
