Summary: The SCADA/ADMS Support Engineer role involves executing Unix commands and managing SCADA updates within the ADMS framework. The position requires proficiency in GE eTerra and SQL scripting, along with the ability to provide Tier 1 support for the Model Manager Application. The engineer will also be responsible for validating data uploads and generating reports. This is a remote position based in the USA for a duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Unix commands in Energy Management System (EMS) and Distribution Management System (DMS) to export SCADA definitions.
- Looking for someone with GE eTerra experience. Building out and designing displays in eTerra.
- Upload SCADA definition files into ADMS Oracle database for validation.
- Run SQL scripts to validate the uploaded data and compile results into reports.
- Distribute validation reports via email.
- Perform validation of newly created SCADA Savecases in ADMS, following predefined procedures.
- Monitor alerts and notifications related to MMA, including messages from Teams chat and system logs.
- Provide Tier 1 support for MMA-related issues, troubleshooting common problems.
- Escalate complex MMA issues to Tier 2 support and collaborate to resolve them efficiently.
- Experience in SCADA, ADMS, EMS, or DMS environments.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands for executing system operations.
- GE eTerra.
- SQL scripting experience, particularly with Oracle databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze system alerts.
- Experience with Model Manager Application (MMA) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate technical details.
- Experience in the utility or energy sector.
