Summary: The role of Power Apps Test Engineer involves planning, creating, and executing manual tests for a highly customized Microsoft Dynamics solution within a government agency transitioning to Power Apps. The position is fully remote and is offered on an initial three-month contract with the potential for extension. Candidates must hold valid SC Clearance and have significant experience in testing Power Apps solutions. The role requires a strong focus on delivery and the ability to work effectively within a tight team dynamic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and execute manual tests to ensure quality and reliability of user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Support the transition from a legacy platform to Power Apps for a government agency.
- Conduct extensive accessibility testing and API testing.
- Utilize test and bug management tools such as JIRA & Xray for JIRA.
- Work within a Scrum methodology and collaborate closely with the team.
- Carry out testing activities for UK public sector projects.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in manual testing.
- ISTQB Certification Foundation or equivalent.
- Understanding of GDSE.
- Extensive accessibility testing experience.
- Significant experience in testing Power Apps solutions.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and tooling.
- Familiarity with test and bug management tools (JIRA & Xray for JIRA).
- Experience working in a Scrum methodology.
- Ability to learn quickly and fit into a tight team dynamic.
- Experience in UK public sector projects.

iO are working with an established and rapidly growing Digital agency in their search for an experienced Power apps Tester to join them on an initial 3 month contract basis
They work with global technology leaders to provide digital transformation services to a number of customers in industries including not-for-profit, financial services and the pubic sector
This specific project is supporting a Gov agency who are transitioning from a legacy platform to Power Apps
You will be responsible for planning, creating and executing manual tests to ensure quality, reliability and delivery of user stories and acceptance criteria for a highly customised Microsoft Dynamics solution.
Must have experience in testing one or more of the following:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in manual testing
- ISTQB Certification Foundation (as a minimum) or equivalent
- Understanding of GDS
- Extensive accessibility testing experience
- Significant experience of testing Power Apps solutions
- Familiar with test and bug management tools in use on the project (JIRA & Xray for JIRA)
- Hands-on experience with API testing & tooling
- Experience working in a Scrum methodology
- Highly delivery focused, with the ability to learn quickly and fit into a tight team dynamic
- Experience working in UK public sector projects, carrying out testing activities
