Summary: The role of SC Project Manager involves managing and directing project teams to deliver complex projects, primarily in a remote capacity with occasional visits to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The position requires significant experience in project implementation, financial management, and compliance with client standards. Candidates must hold or have previously held high-level security clearance. The contract is initially for six months with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the Programme Manager and Senior Project Managers to deliver the Programme
- Manage and direct members of the project team, specifically the Architects, Installation Design Authority resources, and subcontractors
- Confirm Requirements with the client on receipt of the request
- Attend site survey and installation activities as required
- Participate in regular customer meetings
- Raise Purchase Orders and manage 3rd party costs
- Implement the delivery plan to ensure timescales are met
- Ensure the Engineering Change Request process is followed
- Align all deliveries with Client standards
- Request staging of hardware with the build Centre and secure delivery to site
- Engage engineering resources and 3rd parties for installation work
- Resolve any snagging issues
- Provide structured reporting during project delivery
- Obtain CA sign off on completion of IA as per financial forecast
Key Skills:
- Experienced in 'on-site' project implementation
- Proficient in MS Project
- Prince2 Practitioner or PMP Professional certification
- Experience in managing complex project scope, cost, and quality outputs
- Experience in implementing WAN projects
- Commercial and project financial management experience
- Project forecasting experience
- Experience working within the defence arena
- H&S qualified (IOSH or equivalent)
