We are seeking an experienced VMware Aria Ops (Vrops) to work alongside the Monitoring Team to optimise the existing monitoring environment and improve operational effectiveness.
The role is hands-on, focusing on dashboard configuration, event correlation, alert optimisation and operational workflows rather than tool implementation or high-level consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimise operational monitoring dashboards.
- Configure event filtering, correlation and alerting to reduce monitoring noise.
- Develop service-based monitoring views.
- Define and improve event triage, prioritisation and escalation workflows.
- Enhance monitoring usability to support incident response and operational decision-making.
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to the Monitoring Team.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven hands-on experience with VMware Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Logs
- Strong knowledge of VMware monitoring, dashboards, alert definitions and event management
- Experience with event correlation, alert noise reduction and service health monitoring.
- Understanding of IT operations, incident management and event triage processes.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into effective monitoring configurations.
- Must hold active SC Clearance
