Summary: The role of SC Cleared Solution Architect involves joining a high-profile Central Government programme aimed at enhancing digital services for UK citizens. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business needs into scalable solutions while ensuring alignment with governance and delivery processes. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex transformation initiatives that improve service accessibility and operational efficiency. The contract is temporary, outside IR35, and requires UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate end-to-end solution architectures aligned to business objectives.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and technical specialists to develop viable solution options.
  • Produce architectural artefacts and design documentation to support governance and delivery.
  • Ensure solutions align with organisational standards, policies and strategic direction.
  • Support delivery teams throughout the lifecycle, providing architectural guidance and assurance.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across both business and technical functions.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience operating as a Solution Architect within Central Government or the wider Public Sector.
  • Strong understanding of government delivery methodologies, governance and assurance processes.
  • Ability to bridge business and technology teams, translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders in large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience delivering citizen-facing digital services (desirable).
  • Knowledge of service transformation, process improvement or data-driven programmes (desirable).
  • Familiarity with GDS principles and government architecture frameworks (desirable).

SC Cleared Solution Architect - 3 months+ - £500-580pd Outside IR35 DOE - REMOTE (UK)

We are currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a high-profile Central Government programme focused on improving digital services and delivering better outcomes for UK citizens.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a complex transformation initiative, helping to shape and deliver solutions that improve service accessibility, user experience and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating business needs into scalable, user-centred solutions while navigating the governance and delivery processes associated with large government organisations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a business-focused Solution Architect who enjoys working in complex stakeholder environments and delivering meaningful outcomes within Central Government.

This temporary contract is outside IR35 and will be delivered on a statement-of-work basis. The supplier will determine the method, resources, and approach to deliver the agreed outcomes.

This temporary contract requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements. If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client.
