Job Title: SC Cleared Security Engineer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as an SC Cleared Security Engineer. This contractor role is fully remote and initially for six months, with the expectation of extensions. The position requires active SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for network security infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving multiple systems and layers of infrastructure.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
• Participate in planning, design, and implementation of network security measures to protect systems and data.
• Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security protocols into network architecture and operations.
• Deploy and maintain network security devices such as Firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
• Respond to and recover from security incidents, including conducting post-event analyses to prevent future incidents.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, as well as advancements in network security technologies.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in security engineering and network engineering.
• Proficiency in F5, design, and Firewall management.
• Strong ability to perform network maintenance and handle security configurations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• experience in network design and raising method statements for changes.
• Adaptability to quick, fast-moving changes rather than following a set roadmap pipeline.
