Summary: The role of SC Cleared Product Owner focuses on leading the development and management of cyber training products within a defence organization. The position requires solid Agile experience and involves ensuring alignment with client objectives while managing product backlogs and stakeholder communications. The role is remote and is part of a 12-month contract within a 3-year programme, classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of and communicate a clear vision of the training products that aligns with DCO client objectives and FLC needs.
- Support the collection of user research, journey mapping, and analysis to inform the strategic roadmap and provide insight on potential training product features that provide value to customers.
- Create well-defined product backlog items and prioritise them within the team backlog to ensure timely and impactful product delivery.
- Provide effective solutions that are valuable, viable to our client's, usable and feasible to implement.
- Lead and engage actively in agile ceremonies, fostering a culture of continuous iteration and feedback.
- Identify potential project risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the successful delivery of the product.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the training products, communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Advocate for and contribute to enhancing processes, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness of the development teams.
- Identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our clients and their capabilities through research and discovery.
Key Skills:
- Solid experience as Product owner or Product manager in Agile environment.
- Good knowledge of Agile-scrum or SAFe (Scaled agile) methodology.
- Must have played role of Agile Product Owner (PO) or Product manager in past.
- Live SC Clearance.
- Experience in the Defence sector.
- An understanding of the Defence Structured Approach to Training (DSAT) model and JSP822 is desirable but can be learnt.

My client, A defence body, is looking for an SC Cleared Product Owner who has solid Agile experience. This role will be ensuring that the client is up to speed on Cyber Technology and looking to at where the Cyber product will be used within the business.
Duties to Include
