Summary: The Network Engineer role requires an individual with active SC clearance to configure routers and switches, onboard devices, and collaborate with project managers on implementation plans. The position is contract-based, primarily remote with occasional travel to data centers. Candidates should possess Cisco certifications and experience in LAN and Wireless LAN technologies. The contract is set for 6 months with a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure routers and switches in line with the design documents
- Onboard devices onto network management platform
- Racking and stacking relevant devices in Data Centres when needed
- Work closely with project managers to agree and deliver project implementation plan
Key Skills:
- Cisco Certifications (CCNP/CCNA level minimum)
- Cisco Routing & Switching (ASR's, ISR's, Nexus 9k etc.)
- Racking & Stacking in a data center environment
- LAN & Wireless LAN
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Network Engineer - Role & Responsibilities

- Good knowledge of Cisco LAN and Wireless LAN technologies, including switching and IP addressing best practice.
