Summary: The Network Engineer role requires an individual with active SC clearance to configure routers and switches, onboard devices, and collaborate with project managers on implementation plans. The position is contract-based, primarily remote with occasional travel to data centers. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Cisco technologies and relevant certifications. The contract is set for six months with a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure routers and switches in line with the design documents
- Onboard devices onto network management platform
- Rack and stack relevant devices in Data Centres when needed
- Work closely with project managers to agree and deliver project implementation plan
- Demonstrate good knowledge of Cisco LAN and Wireless LAN technologies, including switching and IP addressing best practice
Key Skills:
- Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA/CCNP Certifications preferred)
- Wireless LAN experience
- Data Center experience
- Nexus 9k's knowledge
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
