SC Cleared Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Network Engineer with strong HPE Aruba expertise to support a major IT infrastructure and transformation programme with a leading global technology services consultancy, working within a secure enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on the design, implementation, management and optimisation of enterprise LAN and WLAN infrastructure, ensuring highly available, resilient and secure network services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure and support HPE Aruba network infrastructure across enterprise campus and branch environments.
• Manage Aruba CX and ArubaOS switching, wireless access points and mobility controllers.
• Administer Aruba Central for network monitoring, performance management and reporting.
• Configure and manage Aruba ClearPass, including NAC, 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+ and certificate-based authentication.
• Support enterprise WLAN design, wireless surveys, coverage assessments and performance optimisation.
• Troubleshoot complex LAN, WLAN, routing, switching and network authentication issues.
• Perform network upgrades, patching, migrations and lifecycle management.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Support network transformation and continuous improvement activities within an ITIL environment.

Essential Technical Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Strong hands-on HPE Aruba networking experience.
• Aruba CX and ArubaOS switching.
• Aruba wireless solutions, access points and mobility controllers.
• Aruba Central administration and management.
• Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager and Network Access Control (NAC).
• Enterprise WLAN design, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2/3 and network resilience.
• Experience with 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+ and network segmentation.
• Strong incident management, troubleshooting and ITIL service delivery experience.

Desirable:

• Aruba AirWave and SD-Branch.
• Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG or similar monitoring tools.
• Network automation using Python, Ansible or REST APIs.
• Experience in large-scale, multi-site enterprise or secure environments.
• Aruba professional certifications or equivalent hands-on experience.
