Summary: A SAS Assurance Team Lead is needed for a 12-month remote contract, classified as inside IR35, requiring work through an FCSA accredited umbrella company. The role involves leading the development of assurance processes, updating existing systems, and acting as a subject matter expert in SAS and data management. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the development of new assurance processes across both heritages and all products
- Updating, streamlining, and automating existing SAS assurance processes
- Ensuring timely execution and delivery of assurance results
- Acting as a subject matter expert in data, SAS, assurance, and testing across multiple system enhancements and implementations
- Supporting the Systems Management team and mentoring junior team members
- Designing and maintaining robust controls to ensure processes are fit for purpose
- Collaborating with system owners, risk policy owners, and third parties to ensure timely code implementation and issue resolution
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in banking, lending systems, and data management
- Strong proficiency in SAS
- Expert-level understanding of data interrogation and manipulation
- A high-level qualification in a numerical or coding-based discipline, or equivalent technical experience
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including managing conflict and challenge
- A logical and structured approach to problem-solving across both technical and business domains
