SAP Vistex Project Manager

Posted 1 day ago by Eliassen Group

Description

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Vistex Project Manager to lead critical Vistex initiatives within the broader SAP S/4HANA Modernization Program.

This role will drive planning, coordination, and execution across Vistex Recharge, chargebacks, customer rebates, calculation buckets, IP-to-bucket conversion, SAP integration dependencies, testing readiness, cutover, and business stakeholder alignment.

The ideal candidate combines recent, hands-on Vistex implementation leadership with strong enterprise project management discipline, executive communication skills, and the ability to apply a business lens to complex delivery decisions.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Vistex initiatives across business, technology, and partner teams.
  • Build and maintain an integrated project plan, milestones, dependencies, critical path, and resource needs.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, RAID items, decisions, and executive status reporting.
  • Drive governance forums, working sessions, status reviews, and timely escalation and resolution.
  • Lead Vistex implementation, upgrade, migration, remediation, stabilization, and enhancement activities.
  • Coordinate delivery across rebates, chargebacks, pricing agreements, incentive programs, Recharge solutions, calculation buckets, and IP-to-bucket conversion.
  • Ensure Vistex plans and milestones align with the SAP S/4HANA modernization roadmap and enterprise go-live needs.
  • Drive clear ownership, sequencing, entry and exit criteria, and closure of delivery gaps.
  • Partner with business leaders, SAP functional teams, integration teams, data teams, vendors, and system integrators.
  • Facilitate decision-making and translate technical issues into business impact, options, and recommendations.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders with different priorities and maintain accountability for commitments.
  • Manage vendor performance, deliverables, dependencies, and escalations.
  • Identify cross-workstream risks and dependencies affecting testing, mock cycles, data validation, cutover, and go-live.
  • Create mitigation and recovery plans, monitor them to closure, and escalate early when leadership intervention is required.
  • Coordinate SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, mock conversion activities, and production readiness.
  • Support cutover planning, deployment, hypercare, stabilization, and transition to ongoing operations.

Experience Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of project or program management experience, including significant SAP delivery experience.
  • Recent leadership of an end-to-end Vistex implementation, upgrade, or major transformation.
  • Experience with Vistex rebates, chargebacks, pricing, incentive administration, Recharge, or calculation bucket capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including Order-to-Cash and Finance integration points.
  • Experience with integrated planning, RAID management, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional, global, and vendor-supported teams in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Executive communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-driving skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, bring structure to ambiguity, and maintain a bias toward execution.
  • Preferred: industry experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or distribution.
  • Preferred: experience supporting a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation.
  • Preferred: direct experience with Vistex or a recognized Vistex implementation partner.
  • Preferred: PMP, Agile, Scrum, or comparable professional certification.
