Summary: The SAP Sustainability Data Specialist will lead data preparation and integration efforts for sustainability reporting and footprint tracking within the SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud implementation program for a major client in the chemical industry. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate master data to support SAP Product Footprint Management and Carbon Accounting. The specialist will utilize the Syniti Knowledge Platform for data migration and quality control while collaborating with IT and business stakeholders. The position is fully remote, targeting candidates in the European time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage data requirements for SAP sustainability solutions, including Product Footprint Management and Carbon Accounting.
  • Coordinate the collection, transformation, validation, and load of sustainability-related master data.
  • Collaborate with sustainability program owners and business users to align data with reporting needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Use the Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP) to execute data activities in accordance with project standards.
  • Support testing, cutover, and go-live validation of sustainability data.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and business teams to ensure actionable and auditable sustainability data is in place.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience working with sustainability data, preferably in a chemical, manufacturing, or industrial context.
  • Familiarity with SAP Sustainability solutions (e.g., SAP Product Footprint Management, SAP Carbon Footprint Analytics, SAP Sustainability Control Tower).
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., CSRD, GHG Protocols, ESG reporting frameworks) is a plus.
  • Experience with data management or migration tools—preferably with the Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP).
  • Strong coordination skills to act as a bridge between business and IT.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); able to work remotely and cross-functionally in a global environment.

Project Overview

Join the global SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud implementation program “SyWay” for a major client in the chemical industry. This long-term initiative includes integration with SAP's sustainability solutions to meet environmental compliance and carbon reporting objectives. The project places a strong focus on high-quality, traceable data to support sustainability analytics and reporting.
