SAP Supply Chain Consultant (17028)

Summary: Baer is seeking an SAP Supply Chain Consultant for a government project focused on a multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation for a state-level transportation authority. The role involves supporting the implementation of Inventory Management and Material Management functionalities, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The position is primarily remote, with minimal travel required to Harrisburg, PA. Candidates should have extensive SAP experience, particularly in S/4HANA, and a solid understanding of supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of S/4HANA Inventory Management and Material Management (MM-IM) functionality.
• Perform hands-on configuration for material master, stock types, reservations, goods movements, and inventory transactions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, map current processes, and design to-be solutions aligned with S/4HANA best practices.
• Participate in fit-to-standard workshops and ensure minimal customization while addressing key business needs.
• Provide guidance on inventory valuation, stock transport orders, batch/serial number management, and physical inventory processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, finance, and warehouse operations.
• Support testing, training, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.

Key Skills:

• 8+ years of SAP experience with a focus on Inventory Management and Material Management.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (1709 or later), including experience in greenfield or brownfield implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes in the public sector or transportation industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to configure and optimize end-to-end MM-IM processes in S/4HANA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface directly with business and IT leadership.
