Summary: The role is for a SAP SD OTC Functional Consultant to support a large-scale SAP transformation programme on a freelance basis. The initial contract is for 6 months with potential for extension, and the position is fully remote. The consultant will leverage extensive SAP SD expertise, particularly in Order-to-Cash processes, to guide project delivery and support teams. Immediate availability is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor support and delivery teams within SAP SD environments.
- Configure pricing, billing, account determination, output management, and revenue-related billing functions.
- Manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution activities.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Define interfaces and data movement processes between SAP and third-party systems.
- Oversee WRICEF-related developments and support production environments.
- Participate in cutover planning, go-live support, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
Key Skills:
- 12+ years of SAP SD functional consulting experience.
- Deep expertise in Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Billing processes.
- Extensive hands-on configuration experience in SAP SD.
- Knowledge of SAP SD integration with FI/CO, MM, and external applications.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and system integration.

RED now has a new contract opportunity for a SAP SD OTC Functional Consultant to join one of our key partners for a large-scale SAP transformation programme.
The initial contract will be for 6 months with scope for further extensions based on project requirements.
This contract is to start ASAP and will be remote.

Specific skills/experience required:
- 12+ years of SAP SD functional consulting experience, with deep expertise across Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Billing processes.
- Strong background leading or mentoring support and delivery teams within SAP SD environments.
- Extensive hands-on configuration experience covering pricing, billing, account determination, output management, rebates, credit/debit memo processing, and revenue-related billing functions.
- Proven knowledge of SAP SD integration with FI/CO, MM, and external applications.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments, including participation in transformation, migration, or upgrade projects.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and complex system integration scenarios involving SAP and non-SAP platforms.
- Experience managing System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, defect resolution, and cross-functional troubleshooting activities.
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into high-quality functional specifications for development teams.
- Experience defining interfaces and data movement processes between SAP and third-party systems, including exposure to OData services and CDS Views.
- Previous involvement overseeing WRICEF-related developments, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and custom applications.
- Strong knowledge of billing engine enhancements and complex integration landscapes involving multiple source and target systems.
- Proven experience supporting production environments and resolving critical SAP SD Billing issues.
- Experience participating in cutover planning, go-live support, hypercare activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
- Experience working within global onsite/offshore delivery models.
- Agile project experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Able to join within a short notice period.
