SAP S/4HANA Costing Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Costing Consultant to support the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of SAP Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Actual Costing functionalities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Controlling – Product Costing (CO-PC), multi-currency and multi-valuation scenarios, actual costing processes, and period-end closing activities.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to resolve costing-related issues, enhance existing processes, support system testing, and ensure accurate product cost valuation and financial reporting.

Must Have

• SAP S/4HANA Costing Resource to help with configuration, testing, design issues, ticket resolution and documentation for Product Costing, Material Ledger and Actual Costing.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 full-cycle SAP implementations in costing.
• Need strong experience in CO-PC, multi-currency and multi-valuation, actual costing run (CKMLCP), price determination and period-end closing.
• Costing experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

Key Responsibilities

• Support SAP S/4HANA Costing activities, including configuration, solution design, testing, issue resolution, and functional documentation.
• Configure and support SAP Product Costing (CO-PC), Material Ledger, and Actual Costing functionalities.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP S/4HANA costing solutions.
• Support multi-currency and multi-valuation configurations and ensure accurate inventory valuation across different currencies and valuation views.
• Execute and troubleshoot the Material Ledger Actual Costing run using transaction CKMLCP.
• Configure and support price determination processes, including standard price calculation, actual price calculation, and periodic unit price determination.
• Support standard cost estimates, cost component structures, costing variants, valuation variants, and cost roll-up processes.
• Manage period-end closing activities related to Product Costing and Material Ledger, including actual costing, price updates, and reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot costing discrepancies, material valuation issues, and inventory valuation differences.
• Resolve functional tickets, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely solutions for production support issues.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, process flows, and support documentation.
• Collaborate with SAP FI, MM, PP, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of costing processes.
• Support data validation, defect resolution, and deployment activities during implementation and system enhancements.
• Provide ongoing production support and recommend process improvements to enhance costing accuracy and operational efficiency.
