Summary: The SAP PP Consultant role focuses on leading and supporting SAP PP implementations and enhancements, particularly in Repetitive Manufacturing (REM). The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders to optimize production planning and improve manufacturing operations efficiency. The consultant will also provide training and support throughout the project lifecycle. This role is based in Ann Arbor, MI, with travel required to client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support SAP PP implementations and enhancements, specifically focused on Repetitive Manufacturing (REM).
- Configure and optimize Scheduling strategies to improve manufacturing operations efficiency.
- Design, implement, and provide ongoing support for Backflushing processes within SAP.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate production planning requirements.
- Assess current production workflows and recommend SAP best practices for process improvements.
- Deliver comprehensive training, user documentation, and post-go-live support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with SAP MM, WM, and QM module teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Support data migration, unit testing, and integration testing during project lifecycles.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP configuration and support.
- Proven expertise in Repetitive Manufacturing (REM) in a discrete manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of Scheduling techniques and Backflushing functionalities.
- Strong integration knowledge with MM, SD, WM, and QM modules.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and client engagement abilities.
- Manufacturing industry experience is essential.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in consulting roles or large-scale SAP implementations is preferred.
