Summary: The role of OpenText ADA Migration & Upgrade Specialist involves leading the migration and upgrade of OpenText Archiving and Document Access from an on-premises data center to AWS Malaysia Region, specifically upgrading from version 21.2 to 23.4. This position requires a technically skilled engineer to work within a SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA transition program. The specialist will be responsible for executing migration strategies and ensuring proper configuration and documentation throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration and upgrade of OpenText ADA from on-premises to AWS Malaysia Region.
  • Execute PoC migrations in non-production environments prior to production cutover.
  • Produce and hand over technical build and configuration documentation.
  • Configure logical archives and storage providers (S3).
  • Understand OpenText integration with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Administer Windows Server and SQL Server installations and configurations.
  • Familiarity with RPO/RTO design and AWS Backup runbook creation.

Key Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with OpenText ADA / Content Archive for SAP (v21.2 and v23.4).
  • Proficiency with ISO export/import migration strategy and volume migration utilities.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022 and SQL Server 2018, 2019, and 2022.
