Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP Sustainability & Compliance Consultant to support a project focused on implementing traceability and regulatory compliance processes in accordance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The role requires strong SAP expertise, particularly in Materials Management and Logistics, along with a solid understanding of sustainability standards. The consultant will be responsible for translating regulatory requirements into SAP specifications and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective implementation. This position is remote with occasional travel within the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate regulatory requirements (e.g. EUDR) into SAP process and system specifications
- Design and document end-to-end traceability processes from source to customer
- Leverage SAP MM and logistics functionalities (Batch Mgmt, Inventory Mgmt, Quality, etc.)
- Integrate SAP with third-party sustainability platforms or data lakes via APIs
- Support vendor declarations and sustainability certification handling
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to align requirements and solutions
- Assist in project coordination and ensure clear communication of technical concepts to business users
Key Skills:
- Strong SAP MM and logistics process knowledge
- Experience with batch traceability, quality management, and vendor data handling
- Familiarity with sustainability and certification standards (e.g. ISCC, RTRS, etc.)
- Hands-on experience designing custom SAP solutions (Z-programs)
- API integration experience with external platforms or data repositories
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Understanding of EUDR or other sustainability regulations
- SAP Green Token knowledge is a plus
- Project coordination or roll-out experience is an advantage
