Summary: The SAP MDG Technical Consultant role requires over 10 years of experience in SAP MDG and strong ABAP development skills to design and implement Master Data Governance solutions. The consultant will collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders to create scalable SAP MDG applications tailored to enterprise needs. Key responsibilities include hands-on ABAP development, integration with SAP and non-SAP systems, and troubleshooting technical issues. The position is remote and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement SAP MDG technical solutions based on business and functional requirements.
  • Perform hands-on ABAP development for custom enhancements, BADI implementations, user exits, and workflows within SAP MDG.
  • Develop and maintain custom data models, UI configurations, and validations in MDG for master data domains such as Material, Vendor, Customer, and Finance.
  • Configure and enhance SAP BRF+ rules, MDG process models, and replication models.
  • Integrate SAP MDG with SAP ECC/S4HANA and non-SAP systems using ALE, IDOCs, BAPIs, and Web Services.
  • Proficiency in ABAP Web Dynpro, FPM (Floor Plan Manager), and BRF+.
  • Experience in data replication frameworks, DRF configuration, and data validation rules.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ALE/IDOC, RFC, and Web Services integration.
  • Develop custom workflows and perform performance tuning of MDG applications.
  • Collaborate with functional MDG consultants, BASIS teams, and data governance stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in MDG environments.
  • Support data migration, conversion, and cleansing activities.
  • Provide documentation, technical specifications, and support for all developed components.
